Welcome to Open Students, the official blog of the Right to Research Coalition. This blog will feature the latest and greatest news from the Open Access movement with an emphasis on how Open Access (OA) affects students and what students can do as authors and activists to advance OA. As the director of the coalition and the moderator of this blog, I will be the main author here; however, we will feature a variety of guest posts as well as mini-series of posts about particular issues.
Also, as you may have noticed, we have imported old posts from Open Students' previous incarnation (at openstudents.org) and hope to build on the great posts from that project (with many thanks to Gavin Baker who ran that blog until its hibernation over the past year).
I encourage you to subscribe to our RSS feed and check back regularly. If you have any ideas for posts or would like to write a guest post, please shoot me an email at nick [at] arl [dot] org.
Again, welcome to our new blog, and I hope you'll add us to your regular blog diet!
